Ventajas: The location is great. Right around the corner from the V&A and the Natural History Museum. Across the street from the Tube, and surrounded by great restaurants. This was the perfect home base for a weekend in London. The decor was charming and whimsical, sort of Alice in Wonderland with lots of bright colors and a bird theme which ran through the hotel. Our room was small as most London Hotels are, and finding a place to stow the luggage was a bit of a hat trick, but once we figured it out, everything was great. Although we never had breakfast at the hotel, we did have morning coffee and tea in the tea room every day. Delightful. Would return in an instant!

Ventajas: The hotel is truly lovely. I think we had the smallest room there which I booked unknowingly. But it worked just fine. The bed was so comfy. There were slippers and robes and the bathroom floor was heated. The daily tea was also very nice. I can't write enough to explain how exceptional the hotel, staff and location were. You will have to try it for yourself. Overall I plan to go back to London and stay here again.

Ventajas: I loved pretty much everything about the hotel. I stayed there twice in September. It was gorgeous inside, extremely well located near the South Kensington tube and nearby pubs and restaurants in Chelsea, the staff was simply wonderful and the rooms were pretty and very comfortable. Also loved the front room where you can grab a bite to eat and a glass of wine, and the breakfast room downstairs. The free water, juices and soft drinks provided in the bar fridge were a nice touch.

Desventajas: The gym was very well appointed in terms of weights, towels and free water but the space was too small in my view, it needed to be at least double the size as only 2-3 people would comfortably fit. Equally, the smaller hotel rooms (where my sisters stayed) have limited space if you are staying for more than 2 nights, but the hotel reception kindly advised us of this beforehand.

Ventajas: Me encantó la ubicación del hotel. Muy cerca del metro de South Kensington que va directamente a Heathrow. El hotel también está cerca del Museo Victoria & Albert y del Museo de Historia Natural y no muy lejos de Hyde Park. También me encantó el personal. Guests above us had very noisy children so perhaps room allocation of families with small children needs to be considered - we did have to call reception several times as it was very annoying having the noise above us.

We were up graded to a larger room, given a courtesy little bottle of wine with chocolates, so a spacious & very comfortable room. This is an excellent run hotel and can very highly recommend it to any one

Desventajas: La habitación no era más que la media. El baño era muy moderno y agradable. La habitación que nos dieron estaba en una de las plantas inferiores, lo que significa que no teníamos ventanas en la habitación ni en la recepción del teléfono móvil. El problema principal para mí, las paredes son MUY finas y todo, desde las habitaciones adyacentes, se oye fácilmente. La cama en nuestra habitación también estaba muy chirriante con cualquier ligero movimiento.

Desventajas: The rooms are not very sound proof we had extremely loud neighbors several nights. More of business hotel. There were not many things to help tourists book restaurants or get around. The staff didn't have guidance on hop on hop off buses or tours. We figured it out on our own but I think in other hotels there is more help for that type of thing.

Desventajas: Varias cosas que deberían de ser cambiadas. No es un hotel de cinco estrellas. No se como tiene esa categoría. La habitación, totalmente decepcionante. Inmobiliario muy anticuado, la insonorización pésima. La tele no funcionaba correctamente, la moqueta tenia manchas ( que probablemente no se podían eliminar). La conexión de internet muy mala y lenta. La puerta del baño no se cerraba. Pienso que el hotel, en su día fue un muy buen hotel de cinco estrellas, pero ha día de hoy necesita un reforma de inmobiliario, no puedes pagar un hotel de cinco estrellas cuando hay de cuatro mejores que este.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to accommodate our wish for a quiet room with a view. Thank you, Simon! Breakfast was a bonus in a spacious area with a very broad selection (including full English breakfast) to cater for the many international guests. The location is excellent with shops, supermarket, pubs all very close. Gloucester Road Underground station is across the road which has a direct link to Heathrow. (Does have some steps, though.) The restaurant is good and the bar area which opens onto a private park is exceptional in warm weather. Overall the vibe of this hotel is of a busy but well organised property with a family friendly, welcoming, international home away from home feel!

Desventajas: The room that l stayed in has the most awkward lay out. The toilet roll fixture was placed at the side of the bathtub exactly where you get in n out. It got splashed by water from the shower, and one can easily slip over its 15cm protruding metal rod for the spare tissue roll. The magnifying glass was only able to face to the toilet area n not to your face. The toilet flusher was behind the toilet cover. So each time you need to flush it, you ll have to first close the cover. The distance between the wall mirror inside the bathroom, to where you stand in front of the basin was so far that one need to bent extra to see your makeup. But this issue may not be for everybody. One who is taller then my 5.4" height maybe able to reach it better. In general... l used to stay at Crown Plaza Singapore. The experience is very different.

The hotel is in a perfect location and they kindly upgraded our room and gave my partner a birthday card, such a lovely gesture. The staff are very friendly and helpful; particularly Andrea on reception who was wonderful. We had a great stay and would recommend this hotel.

Ventajas: Very cheerful street presence. The geraniums were still in bloom and it was very pleasant to walk down the street and see the welcoming entrance. The front courtyard was very well presented. The room was well laid out and welcoming. Up to date and spotless. the housekeeping staff were thorough and diligent. They did a marvellous job of tidying our room every day. Thank you for that. Nice reading lamps in the wall, a night table on each side with electrical outlets. The suite had a mini kitchen tucked behind behind two frosted glass closet doors and held two electric burners, a nice sized sink and a relatively large mini fridge, a toaster, and a kettle, microwave, pots, pans, cutlery, dishes, glasses, cutting board. It was perfect! It was tight with not a lot of counter space between the sink and the burner elements but we managed without any hardship really. It was a lovely room with windows that opened into a courtyard storage area for the hotel. Even though there were a few employees heading in and out of the storage area from time to time, they didn’t disturb us at all. Our room also had the elevator shaft built into it and I never once heard the elevator. You could hear muffled voices in the hall as they got on and off (which is to be expected) but we never once the elevator at work. Very quiet. Very quiet hotel for the most part. And well situated as well. Within a short walking distance you had access to overground trains, underground trains, bus, a shopping mall, grocery stores, dry cleaners. Shepherds Bush is a good 7 to 10 minute walk. We didn’t find that problematic in the least. It was a very enjoyable walk.

Ventajas: It was great! So handy to loads of transport options to go anywhere. The staff were helpful. The room was a comfortable size with all you could need. Being able to leave your bags there while you went about your day after checking out was so handy. Overall a great experience.

Desventajas: Most of the stay was fine, but twice we were given dirty towels, and one afternoon they turned the water off to the building for hours without warning. When we went to inquire, it turned out it was planned maintenance, but they did not bother to warn the guests. The bed was poor quality and you could feel the individual springs in the mattress.

Desventajas: I didn’t like the heating/cooling system. It would appear that the controls for the entire set of suites in building are at the reception desk. There is a control panel in each suite but it is regulated by the main control. The only access to temperature control in your room is how hot or cold your room based on the program they’ve chosen, but not whether you want heat vs cold. If the A/C was on you couldn’t change that. You could turn it off but then there was no air movement. And the A/C was cold. Set at 18C. We had one cool rainy day and reception turned off air and put the control at Heat. Our room was so warm it was uncomfortable sleeping. So no happy medium with the temperature controls and no in-suite regulation. The thing I really really didn’t like was the bathroom door. It was a sliding door and it was a frosted glass. No privacy really. And when you slid it shut, unless you pushed and slid at the same time, it made a god awful screech like nails on a chalkboard. No electrical outlets in the bathroom. Blow dryer was hardwired in the closet and the closet was just outside of the bathroom door. The cord wasn’t quite long enough to reach into the bathroom. I would suggest in the kitchen they might put a can opener, a corkscrew & bottle opener and a pair of scissors. I went to reception to borrow a can opener but they didn’t have on there either. Thankfully we travel with our own corkscrew! Also, my husband and I enjoy our coffee in the morning. We each have 3 cups before we even think about starting our day. Every day we had to go to the front desk to ask for a couple of pods as the 1 each provided just wasn’t enough. Every day our requests were met with a scowl and a hard glare. The coffee is complimentary so don’t make your guests work that hard to be comfortable - especially when we were there for 8 days.

Walking distance within few minutes you can find self-service laundry, 24 hours convenience store, restaurants and bars, and most importantly the Earl’s Court metro station that brings you to everywhere. The breakfast is good although not many varieties, it’s sufficient to me! Staff was friendly and helpful. It was a good stay!

But still a lovely breakfast just didn’t feel very welcome

Desventajas: So, my stay at 100 queens gate was 5 nights, so substantial for a hotel. I had to upgrade the room because the one I had booked on booking was so small and no windows, it was claustrophobic. I asked for an upgrade and I was initially told they didn’t have any other available rooms, I then called reception again spoke to someone else and they gave me a different room for 40 pounds more per night, fine. The ac didn’t work. Maintenance came to fix it, they said the filter was blocked. After 1 hour it stopped working again! The hot water in the shower was coming out after maybe 10 minutes the water was opened. The room card worked for the first two days, then stopped working and every day I needed someone to open the room and gym for me. (Many other guests I spoke to experienced this issue). Second time this happened a guy from the hotel staff came to open my room and didn’t even apologise for the inconvenience or the fact I waited 15 minutes for him to arrive. The rooms are not cleaned properly at all. The staff is clearly NOT highly trained, especially for a hotel where they charge you 400 pounds for a room. The hotel has been refurbished but lifts are really slow, and one of them stopped working. Having experienced the latter issues, all I got was a bottle of wine sent to my room. The upgrade price (40 pounds more per night) were fully charged, and got no discount at all nor a call by the manager to my room to apologise. You kind of expect things like these in a 5 star hotel! Food is very average too.

Desventajas: While the room was well furbished it was dark, looking out onto a shaft and it appeared to be an ex-smokers room which was disturbing every time one entered the room. There was a too problem with the booking over booking.com (generated by a user mishap) and although booking.com and 100 Queen's gate Hotel did eventually resolve the issue in the end, the intermediate friction had its toll.

Desventajas: We were given a room with a loud AC unit outside the window, with views of the roof. Noise was loud even with windows shut. They offered us a upgrade, and moved us to the 6th floor, which had tiny rooms, dark and lower ceilings. Complained, so moved us to the same grade room on 3rd floor, which was the same as our original room, just on the other side of the building. Were told to leave the bar as my husband was wearing smart tweed shorts. There were 4 people in the bar wearing trainers, and a gent who was wearing both trainers and a baseball cap. Thought this was ridiculous.

Desventajas: We stayed for 5 nights. We left a note after the first night asking for a couple of maintenance related things (light in bathroom was out and tub and sink was slighlt clogged). We also requested some wash cloths. Good for 3 days, not for 2.

Desventajas: Beware of the £50 per NIGHT holding fee they charge as I didn’t see any detail on this when I booked. They also don’t refund it until 5-7 days after you check out which I also wasn’t made aware of until three follow up calls after. The room was also a bit shabby which I normally wouldn’t mind as we are real it’s just a place to rest your head people and are rarely in our room anywhere we go but it was an occasion stay and the room had very obvious paint touch ups needed and the staff weren’t rude by any means but not overly helpful or friendly either and I found being told to go sit down when ordering at the bar and then being charged a table service fee very strange.

Desventajas: The furniture was dated and old. The chair did not feel solid and everything in the room looked and felt like it was at least 15 years old and had not been updated. The bathroom (whilst a good size) had a musty smell to it, which added to the feeling that this place needed an upgrade. The TV had very few channels on it (Freeview has more variety) and i couldn't even find the basic channels like BBC, ITV etc. There was very little room for hanging clothes since half the width of the (door-less) handing space was take up by the ironing board. The AC was very strong and the fan speed at its lowest was high. Trying to turn the temperature up or down was useless, you just get the same cool temperature. Not worth the price at all!! There are hotels in the area less than 5 minutes walk at a lower cost and significantly better than this.

What I dislike is that the guests can remove all the silence in the whole coming in and out the hotel - as they may think this underground room cannot be with guest but a laundry or equipment room. -hope it is just because I picked the worst room 011. Nothing good except the bed- which must be available in all the rooms. And, we ordered the breakfast + dinner package for the two days while got a surprise day by day the canteen were reserved by some group from 18:00-21:00, and I was forced to take two late dinners around 21:30, without earlier warning. Too bad a service. It is a problem of management. It is my first score giving under 8, sadly.

Desventajas: Everything, room was small, windows were so dirty I could hardly see out of them, room smelled of stale smoke from about 10yrs ago! Bathroom was even smaller than the room, smaller than a cleaning cupboard. Bath enamel or top coating was worn through, bathroom door slid open and shut and made an awful noise when doing either. Real fast was terrible. No care in cooking at all, this hotel is old, looks old. My main thought during my stay was, “wonder when they will demolish it”. I think that’s the only thing that could help it.

The room is so narrow . They don't have firm below if you prefer it. Breakfast is normal and less.

Ventajas: The location
Desventajas: This is the most horrible stay I have ever experienced, the staff were very unfriendly except the bell captins, whenever we call to requests something they repoaned as if they are forced to respond. The house keeping team directly try to enter the room to clean before knocking on the door first to check if someone is inside this happened every day even after speaking to them. The supposedly clean towels they provided always smelled stincky. The elevators were not working perfectly and they cards every couple of days stopped working and I had to go down to change them. The room size was not as described in the site

Ventajas: El hotel estaba muy bien situado cerca de una parada de metro. El personal de la recepción era muy amable.
Desventajas: La habitación era pequeña (a pesar de ser descrito como una habitación "executive" con más espacio), que no había teléfono, y la "recepción" difícilmente podría funcionar como una mesilla de noche (que estaban completamente ausentes). No probamos el desayuno incluido porque la cola era muy larga (y/o el espacio tan pequeño) que no pudimos ver la habitación para ver lo que se ofrecía.
