Really liked this hotel and thought it better than the Intercontinental in Rosemont. Just wish we would have had more time to advantage of the many amenities offered. Will stay again when time is not crunched.
The hotel is beautiful. The staff was professional and courteous. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Traveled to visit Lincoln historic sights. Hotel looked promising and proved to be ok - but... The weekend we visited the hotel was nearly full with a child beauty pagent and weddings. This meant the pool was in high use. Asa result, the hot tub was broken, the pool was so dirty the bottom was not visible and no clean towels. Guest rooms were terrific, nicely furnished, the beds very comfortable and teh common areas well cared for. The Friday night seafood buffet was very good, but has very dim lighting. The lighting in the dining room reminded me of a dated 1980's style hotel - a big departure from the true nature of this property. Our family would consider staying here again, but would ask about occupancy levels in advance. If lots of weddings or a beauty pagent were taking place, we'd select a different hotel This property is probably very good for business travelers.
Very clean, friendly and helpful staff. I only hope I get this hotel in future trips.
Although they say they have shuttle service, they do not pick-up from the Amtrak station. I was on an overnight stay with my kids. The room, lobby and pool area was very clean and well maintained. The front desk was helpful and friendly. The only bad thing I could say is that the television in the room was older. The location has many good nearby restaurants. I would definitely stay again.
The hotel was welcoming, but not at all busy on a Saturday night. The pool and hot tub looked nice, but the excercise equipment was not up to standard. One of the 5 machines was not working and there was no treadmill nor eliptical. It was difficult to find with poor signage.
Great location. Rooms and bathrooms were large. Walking distance to many resturants. We did like the breakfast buffet, everyone got something they liked. We enjoyed the gym. pool and terrace.
I would highly recommed this hotel ,great location off majot highway and upper class hotel with clean and comfortable rooms
The room was wonderful.
The front desk staff was professional and efficient with the checking in and out process. The hotel was clean, well maintained with several options for dinning in the hotel as well as surrounding the hotel. This was a bonus for us since we have small children. The pool was nice, it is located on the top floor of the hotel and the deck connected to the pool had a great view of the city. We would definitely stay again.
Hotel was nice and clean with excellent check-in service. My only complaint is that we waited quite a while for a bell captain, but finally gave up, found a cart, and took care of our own bags. Overall, probably the best hotel in Springfield, IL. The internet service was extremely slooooooooow. I called the front desk and got credit for the service with no questions asked.
The hotel is very well located. Staff is helpful and cordial. Room heater needs to be clean and fix. The room was cold heater didn't work an dust was coming from the furnace. Also food needs improvement. I ordered breakfast room service and came on time but the quality of the food is poor. The ham was dry, and potatoes where from 2 or 3 days before.
Front deck staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast staff paid little attention to tables especially if you did not get the buffet.
Great friendly and helpful employees. Would have been nice to have breakfast included in the cost of the room , i.e. Hampton Inns.
Loved the central location. Staff friendly. Clean. Great cookies. Shower curtain smelled like mildew. Wish beds were queen, instead of double.
Hotel staff was friendly, room was clean and comfortable, and the cookies were delicious upon check-in and check-out. I wish the room would have had a bathtub/shower combination, but it only had a shower. The ice machine on my floor was not working properly, but they sent someone up promptly to fix it. The only real complaint that I had was that I was double charged for my stay. I was charged once through my booking site and again at the hotel. I still haven't received my refund yet.
Every worked well for us. Needs refrigerator in rooms.
Pay extra for parking. Should be included. This is the highest priced hotel in town.
Facilities and rooms were updated and modern. Good for the price. Restaurant and small bar in lobby. Very comfortable. The towel in my room had stains on it.
Clean newer motel.
I thought that with the money that you pay for a room you should at least be able to get some breakfast for free. Not saying the entire menu just some items
The entire house was decorated for Christmas and was glorious! Every room is exquisitely decorated with antiques and luxurious bedding. And each room has its own bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. We loved it and will return. We loved everything!!!
Loved the Inn, great breakfast, staff is friendly and location is perfect for waling to and from everything! Recommend! N/A
What a great experience! The Inn was lovely and our room was perfect. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was very, very accomodating. We will return.
Everything--- location, room, breakfasts and staff.
This Comfort Suites was easy to find, spacious, located next to restaurants, and the price was excellent.
Bed pool breakfast
Spacious rooms, comfortable beds with lots of pillows. Very clean. Very quiet. Friendly staff. Great room for the price.
Great stay. Staff made us feel like family. They where kind and courteous. Prompt to all request. Room was perfect. Only downfall I could find was one elevator and it was slow. Specially in the morning when housekeeping was trying to come up as everyone else was trying to go down. But they was nice enough to exit the elevator to let guests go first. Breakfast was very good to. If you ever need a place to stay in Springfield, I would definitely recommend this hotel!!!
Budget conscious rooms with all the basics. Free breakfast was nicely presented and convenient. Good coffee.
room was comfortable and spacious
The staff was wonderful during my stay. Everyone my husband and I encountered (from the Front Desk to Housekeeping) greeted us warmly and asked if there was anything he/she could do for us. The room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast (included in the stay) was fabulous with a lot of variety to choose from. I wish I had an excuse to stay in Springfield for another day so I could extend my stay. I will definitely recommend Country Inn & Suites to anyone traveling to Springfield, IL. I will also return if the need arises in the future! My stay was too short.
I loved the upgrade of the hotel. Very up to date! The breakfast would be the only part I was not satisfied with. Eggs were cold they seemed as the were heated up from the day before as well as the breakfast potatoes, the were a brown color like they were old as well. Other then that everything else seemed fine.
nrrd more parkig loud with lots of kids
The room was so clean and fresh, just beautiful. It was very quiet also. No
the location was great and the room itself was so beautiful and cozy. The bed linens were amazing and the bed and pillows were perfection! :-)The breakfast was delicious and had a lot of variety. Check out was at noon another plus! they only served breakfast until 9:30, I thought it should have been extended until 10:00...they charged me for 3 persons instead of 2...I will be calling them, I didn't catch it until I arrived home. I will definitely be examining my bills from now on
They charged me a $250 hold just because I was a local. We stayed there because it was my daughters birthday and she has some friends staying the night from out of town. It was easier and more fun for the girls to swim etc... Not a good surprise.
This hotel was excellent. I stayed for a business trip between 11/8/15 and 11/19/15. Checking in was easy, and the hotel room was clean and cool when I arrived. There is a free breakfast every morning (the usual suspects). I just ended up grabbing a yogurt or pound cake to go most of the time. Monday thru Wednesday nights they had beer, wine, and various dinners - from buffalo chicken flatbread to soup and salad night to southwest quesadillas. The owner even joined us on multiple occasions for this happy hour and asked how our stay was and if there was anything he could do to make it better. The rest of the staff helped serve and mingled with those of us staying at the hotel. Though I did not use the indoor pool, I was in the adjoining workout room when kids and parents came in and out and looked to be having fun. The workout room includes only 3 pieces of equipment (treadmill, elliptical, and a bike), but it was enough to get the job done. Laundry facilities are there for customers to use at no charge - it didn't seem that anyone ever had to wait for a machine either, even though the hotel was full. I do have to make special mention of the general manager Jen. She was always cheerful, helpful, and accommodating. In the mornings and during happy hour she would come around and chat with us, both on a personal and professional level. She's a great asset to this hotel. I would definitely stay again. The only issue I had was the next door slamming when it was closed as there wasn't a mechanism to slow it; but other than that the experience was great!
