We were on the top floor with an ocean front room. Loved just opening the door and listening to the surf. Loved watching the sun rise over the ocean from our balcony. Congregation of people on the beach outside motel was minimal compared to hotels further down the beach. Had 5 chairs in room so plenty of space to relax when indoors. Had nice chairs on the balcony and not just cheap plastic chairs. Classic 1960's era hotel. Clean with tile floors. No "resort" fees. The price listed was the price plus tax. Some people had a barking dog that yelped every time we walked down the stairs. Beds were a little stiff but we had a 2" memory foam pad we brought that made it a non-issue for us. No restaurant or room service but those are usually overpriced anyway.
Staff was very friendly and it was a good price for what you get and for being right on the beach. You have to ask for your ice from the front desk.
On the beach, flat screen tv, wi-fi, refrig, micro wave, pool, pet friendly, clean. Older building, no elevator (only 3 floors), beds a little stiff,
The beds were comfortable, staff was nice. The wifi was not working, the air conditioner/heater only blew out cold air, so we were freezing both nights. The sheets were too thin. We called the front desk and complained and we were told there was no maintence on the premises to fix the heater so he said that he'd bring us some extra blankets when he had a chance. He was dealing with other issues so we ended up going down and getting them ourselves.
Not a damm thing.
Great location, across street from beach access. Waking distance to boardwalk. Cockroaches on walk ways, though didn't see any in room. Parking is tight. Tub didn't drain properly, no wash cloths, just towels.
Close proximity to the boardwalk and beach access. Full size refrigerator. Friendly staff. Fairly quiet for being so close to hussle and bussle of Myrtle Beach. Cheap rates in comparison to other hotel/motels in the area. Made for a cheap and relaxing vacation. No ice machine for free guest use. Ice bags were offered for sale but, the bagged iced freezer was unfortunately broken during our stay. Local grocery/convenience store was only on the next street over so the ice crisis was avoided easily. No coffee pot in room... Noticed this online and just brought our own.
Smelled like a fucking ashtray Smelly
Location is across the street from the beach and an easy walk to the Boardwalk. Condition of the rooms is run down, with poor lighting.
Donna at the front desk was wonderful. They are infested with cockroaches and try to tell their customers that they are "palm tree bugs". When i googled a "palm tree bug" it came up as a palmetto bug, in other words a giant American cockroach. Palmetto bug just tends to freak people out less apparently. We were there for a week and seen bugs every night we stayed.
The staff was great. Easy to get to the beach, shopping and restaurants No coffee pot in the room
The ocean view room was more a view of the pool. The ocean was blocked by bushes!
The location. Unclean, poor maid service, broken elevator and ice machine, dirty pool, very poor maintenance on entire hotel.
access to the beach.
the location the room was dirty, gross bath tub, gross employees, dirty kitchen, many rooms dont have ocean view like claimed, only about 10% of the rooms have an ocean view because the hotel is vertical to the beach, not horizontal.
I liked it being neat the ocean and amusement park's. Alot of criminal activity. Seen 2 arrests in parking lot but I expected it in a not so fancy hotel.
Cheap hotel for an overnight trip. The location was great. The inside of the rooms were better than the outside of the motel. The entire motel was just old and rundown. There had apparently been a hole in the wall in my room that had been patched and plastered over, but never painted. Everything was a bit dingy, there was mold on the lampshades, and everything had a bit of an odor. I needed something quick and inexpensive, but I definitely got what I paid for in this situation.
The room was not clean, sheets were dirty, bathroom was dirty
Location; right on the beach, could walk out the door and walk across the parking lot to the beach Cleanliness & efficiency; lightbulb was out, dirty walls, holes, bugs
Only that is oceanfront and the rate was the cheapest one around b0c of the holiday. Well, its my fault for being cheap. Not a family motel (hotel)
It was a great hotel for its price , great location, friendly staff and quick check ins . Me and my boyfriend loved it overall and will be returning very soon.
It was one of the worst hotel I could have stayed in. The tub was stopped up. The room smelled, wall paper was torn from the wall in the bathroom. The bathoom wall had several holes. This room need much repair. They would not let me leave with out chargeing me a fee. This was a turable way to spend my birthday. I did not like anything about this hotel, it was old and this hotel should be upgraded or closed. The sheets were dingy, the towels were stained. It smelled, and the tub was stopped up.
The location was excellent.
It had a beautiful back walkway The room was old. The bathtub was clean but had stains and rust spots. There was no hot water. We slept on top of our sheets.
It was affordable, and they gave you lots of pillows, and clean towels daily, vaccummed and cleaned the bathrooms daily too which was a plus. Location! Also our room with a view was on the bottom floor and we had many trees and bushes blocking our view of the ocean. Kind of a waste paying the extra $50 for a view and not really getting one...
Location - on the beach for easy access & also close to shopping, entertainment, & food for walking You get what you pay for - great deal/price, but def a low end hotel. Small bathroom with no counter space, drop ceiling tiles kept falling on us, elevator is rough, bed linens stained -small/limited parking - no place for big SUV to park/turn around
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION NOTHING
This hotel was located right by the beach. Great view from the 4th floor balcony. The staff was friendly and helpful. Minutes from a lot of local attractions. Dated rooms and facility. Small and uncomfortable beds. No elevators. We had to ask for fresh towels and to have our trash can emptied. I don't think that the House Keeping staff ever came into to the room to clean, make the beds, or re-supply the towels and other items. Dirty stairwells. Found a complimentary Corn Nut on the floor when we first entered the room (proof that it was not properly cleaned.) Trash sat on the 3rd floor stairwell for two days and a dead roach was there for our entire stay.
