Location was the only great thing. Restaurant closes at 10pm. Front desk is not attentive. Key cards always locked out at night and I had to go and have them reprogrammed. Battery in remote died. I had to wait a good 10 minutes before anyone came out to the front desk. Actual room looked like it could have been a former set for a porno video or an old military bunker. Basically its an old hotel with new bed linens and flat screen TV's. The beds were overused and pretty much mush in the middle. The balcony shouldn't even be listed as an amenity as its so small you can barely sit and your view is of the parking lot or the freeway.
Convenient and rather well situated. I did not try the breakfast. THe hotel is very close to the highway, which is convenient when you leave the hotel but which makes it also a little bit noisy.
close location to the universal studio The hotel did not know the special request we made to the booking.com. As we are four people we needed two queen beds but we were given one king bed for 4 for 2 nights. Very tight and unhappy about it.
It was clean and comfortable. The toilet seat didn't work properly. Room 155. The food at the restaurant was not very good quality.
The location to Universal studios
everything. except the elevators were broken. truly hurt me. both elevators probably won't effect your trip but it made mine difficult. besides the elevators, the parking is a bit far but okay. everything else is awesome.
It's a relaxed atmosphere and very comfortable. The decor is really nice . Love the big trees all around it. The gym is a good size. The restaurant has pretty good food. I think all hotels should have a fridge and microwave these days to help with the cost of eating out, especially for families, and not be charged an extra 10.00 a day for them.
The pool area was very relaxing and comfortable The pricing for food and drink in the pool area was too high.
The bed was very comfortable. Finding our room the first night was very difficult. Someone should have walked us to our room and carried our suitcases for us. There was no elevator to our 2nd floor room.
Flew in early, check in scheduled for 3pm, but staff found me a room as early as 10am. Got to recoup from jet lag right away. Noisy cleaning staff woke me up with talking in the hallway and then vacuuming. But in their defense it was already 10am.
Very uncountable beds . The sheets has a very bad smell . Bathroom not clean right . And I found a underwear the not belongs to us ...
Parking was easy Pool was massive!! Good location Hotel interior/halls could be modernized more. Rooms should have a mini fridge.
Good location for where we needed to be and when we told some locals about the gnats they were surprised as they hear the place is always sold out. Very retro California in decor. I think we would stay again. Maybe. Our first room had gnats, but we were immediately moved when we asked to be moved. Unfortunately all that was available was a room next to the elevators. We took it but were able to move the following night to quiet room. Unpacking 3 times was annoying but the staff was very accommodating to switch out our rooms.
The only ice machine was too far away.
The hotel is very nice and clean. The beds are comfy. I like that this hotel offers a shuttle to and from Universal Studios. Nice pool area. And the cafe has very delicious food. I was impressed with their food. Delicious! I would definitely recommend this hotel. You can kinda hear your neighbors in the rooms next door. But wasn't too much of a big deal. Would also be nice if the rooms had mini fridges.
Loved that the TV had BBC America channel. Loved the small patio outside my room even though we didn't have time to make use of it. Enjoyed the breakfast in the café - was able to get exactly what I wanted because the restaurant was flexible.
Loved it! Hip but relaxed. Great location! Will definitely stay again when in LA.
Could not use the shower! Price was too high Cost was put on card at time of reservation instead of when I checked out.
Room was clean, direct tv with all the channels, close to places to eat. Outside area wasn't the best, next to a motel 6, breakfast area too small.
Clean little retro motel in a hip neighborhood. We were only there for a day but there were enough shops and restaurants to entertain us within walking distance while we waited for friends to pick us up and continue on our vacation. Tiny room for two beds but it was fine for a short stay and everything was updated. Staff was helpful allowing us a pretty late checkout for a small fee... Good parking the tiny room size was a bit tight but as we occasionally enjoy experiencing these 'original' properties it was a non- issue... Towels could have been of better quality
Location Absolutely horrible accommodations or lack there of. Towels were like sand paper and there were about 6 tv Chanel's and they all sucked.
Convent to walk to local restaurants and bars along Ventura Blvd. front desk was nice. Free parking outside of room. Easy check in and out. The room was quite small and could hear street noise if near the street side of the building. There were no extra blankets and the toliet paper wasn't a fresh roll, that bugged me most for some reason. It's ok for a motel, I would prefer to stay elsewhere given the choice.
