Hotel is right on the boardwalk with very nice restaurant (voucher for 1/2 price breakfast0 on 1st floor for people watching and of course the beach and ocean. We were upgraded to an ocean view room (no. 12) which was very nice with small living room, kitchenette, and wonderful queen bed. Parking was only about 150 feet to south (overnight $25). Kyle (manager) and Jose (who checked us in) were gracious and made sure we had what we needed. We even got a temporary parking by hotel after we checked out. Rented bicycles only 3 doors away; basically well situated to beach activities, dining, and not too far from Santa Monica pier. We liked everything, but would caution that there is no elevator. While there is a halfway house across the alley, we had no issues nor did we see anything untoward. The real spectacle is on boardwalk.
the view the restaurant was bad . poor service, hostess is so lazy
It was located within walking distance to Universal Studios and a few restaurants. The owners were very charming and hospitable. The room and bed was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast had a few things to choose from including eggs made to order. We would definitely stay here again!
This place is no more than a big rundown house where they rent out bedrooms (some with their kids belonging still in them). The husband is a nice fellow but the wife is loud, pushy, and was rude to the point of abusive with her immigrant helper - berating, scolding, ordering her around. I was awakened by her banging on the door at 8:15 am saying her maid needed to clean the adjacent bedroom. Loud and annoying don't begin to describe the woman who runs this place. The breakfast was pretty much inedible - microwaved sausages and tater tots. The sheets and towels stained and had literally had tears in them. It's a house with no parking on the street. How this place got itself onto KAYAK and other hotel sites, I have no idea. It's a mediocre AirBnB , not even a bed and breakfast.
