Great service and nice bedrooms. I forgot a coat in the closet but I remembered about it two days later after I left Arequipa. It was there, including the contents in the pockets. So, I coordinated with a friend to pick it up and send it to me by mail. Neat. Breakfast was from 7 to 9, it could be until 10 at least. Noise from the plaza is loud, especially on Sundays when there are parades of college and school bands.
-clean, spacious room, with many facilities, including both shower and bathtub; -good breakfast; -free working wi-fi; -kind staff; -beautiful public terrace with city views; -perfect and quiet location for visiting the city on foot; -no parking available, not as advertised on booking.com; I had to find myself a paid public one; -even if I booked the executive suite, which was the only interesting historical room in the hotel, I was forced to accept a "complimentary upgrade" to a superior suite, which, although a little larger, was just another boring business room; of course they finnaly admitted that the historical room was overbooked and already taken upon my arrival;
The personnel here were very helpful. We only were able to stay one night in Arequipa, but we greatly appreciated how kind and attentive the people were at the Posada. We were especially impressed with the free breakfast the following morning - we enjoyed a nice long meal out on the patio and were served excellent food. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean and well kept. Having never been to Arequipa, we arrived at night by bus and didn't know where the hotel was. Our taxi had to stop nearly 7 or 8 times before he could find the place. Although this is no fault of the hotel itself, it is on a small street that could be difficult to find for those who don't know the city. I recommend trying to get there in the daytime so you find it easier than we did. Even so, it is only a 5-10 minute walk from the main plaza - great location if you can find it!
