Room was very clean & spacious.
Very clean, comfortable, and accommodating. Breakfast and happy hour were great. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was nice and clean.
Beth at the front desk was fabulous!!
price The room was extremely dirty;disgusting! Partying all night long;staff did nothing Indoor pool water temp was too cold Even with adult supervision, the pool attendant would not let our 10-yr old use the hot tub. The front desk staff was not co
the desk clerk was pleasant. I didn't like anything about this hotel. top blanket was filthy with holes, sheets had oil stains from human body oil, floor was not swept, there were crumbs and dead bugs on the floor. the room smelled like a wet basement, and it listed a 4 star.
Air conditioner was so loud could not sleep
Close to pizza hut Hallway smelled like smoke
Ive stayed here in the past and was very unsatisfied. The price was reasonable so i gave it another go and its seems to be a bit more safer and cleaner than my previous stay. Shower pressure super low. Only 15 channels on television.
It was convenient for us. There were several restaurants close by and a grocery store nearby. The hotel was well lit outside.
Was a good motel for the price but certainly was not a 4 star
Nothing Every thing
The room was great. The staff was rude.
Indoor pool The mattress was old ..
My car got broken into window was busted the room was dirty and nasty

Location was convenient and weekday staff was helpful and friendly. Room wreaked of smoke at check-in, even though there was a non-smoking sign on the bed. Staff person sprayed some gross spray all over to mask the smell. Eventually had to switch rooms. Weekend staff was rude. No water available at breakfast.

Wonderful people. Very nice rooms. Nope

I have stayed here many times, they seem to have done some remodeling. Liked my breakfast choices and the availability of i expensive places to eat though Donato's would not get a rave review from me Unfortunatley there had been a staffing glitch so registration was not smooth though the clerk was able to remain pleasant inspite of having folks at fhe desk and 4 on hold on the phone.
Whether for a convention or a weekend getaway with some friends, the Lofts hotel provides more than adequate facilities and service. We booked this hotel last year while scrambling for somewhere to stay, but this year we went out of the way for a hotel that had not only room for our group, but also had a small alcove for people who aren't yet ready for sleep to stay up to the odd hours of the night for board games and talking! Thanks, lofts! (also, sorry if this sounds too infomertial-y)
We loved the hotel. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. One of the reasons that we selected this hotel was that parking was available. Nothing in the description noted that parking was not included in the room rate, but when we arrived, we found that the hotel's valet parking was an extra $24/night.
Great location, loved the decor and style of our room, very comfortable. You have to pay to park at the hotel as well as an additional fee each time you come and go, unless you pay double up front (then you can come and go without paying each time).
Nothing I made reservations at the wrong Hawthorne. I called the Hawthorne on Hamilton Rd. To make reservations for my son to spend the night alone. The person I spoke to said because I wouldn't be spending the night I had to make reservations with Priceline. I booked the hotel in N Cols by mistake so I called Priceline and they said given my circumstances the hotel may issue me a refund. So I called and asked for the manager. The female I spoke to on Sunday June 12 was condescending, rude and extremely mean. I don't think I have ever spoken to anyone working in the customer service field this horrible. She could have said, I'm sorry but I can't refund your money but I felt like she was a gift with me and she told me she wasn't going to refund my money and hung up on me. My son was literally in Columbus, without a car and no transportation so I called a friend of mine who drove 3 hours to get my son, pay for his hotel, and make sure he was safe. I also want to add I checked on Facebook and the reviews for the Hawthorne North Columbus are atrocious and I know why first hand. The female should not work with people. She made me cry I was so worried about my son. Thank God there are decent people out there. She is not one of those people.
My original room was not to my satisfaction but the staff was very polite and accommodating and quickly fixed the problem and got me into a different one. The grounds were beautifully kept and the hot breakfasts and promotional complimentary dinner were great perks. The rooms are old and in some need of repair but they are clean enough and very roomy making this hotel a great value.
Suite was large and perfect for a 3 generational family including the family dog. The suite was poorly maintained, mold on the ceiling in the shower, front door didn't want to close well, there was grease and stains on the wall next to the stove, grease and dust on top of the refrigerator, ice maker made very little ice over the 2 dsys we were there. Trying to get clean towels was a chore, the staff acted as if we were going to steal them and everything else that wasn't nailed down. The other guests were great, the staff, not so much with the exception of Tamara at the front desk - she was great!
Price Everything, customer service is horrible. Tamara on the front desk has the worst guest relations/customer service I have ever encountered. I rented 2 rooms for 2 nights for my family, 5 of is traveling, and it was horrible. The rooms are old, unrepaired water damage and just "icky". The breakfast attendant must truly hate her job because she treated everyone with as much disdain as possible. I will never stay here again and I would caution anyone looking to stay here as well. August 12, 2016.
Nice suite. Complete kitchen. Very good breakfast. Very close parking to the suite. Accommodated our ground floor need. We were not informed that we had to request room attention. I had to walk to front desk to get clean towels. Should have been done while we were out for the day.
The location. Everything else.
It was clean, for the most part. The front desk staff told me where to park the company truck, so that they could see it on their security cameras. The fact that I need to park the company truck in front of the security cameras so that it would be safe. The rooms looked clean with the exception of the couch which was covered in nasty looking stains. The place is cheaply built and poorly maintained, it is just worn out. I did not feel, as there were drug dealers outside my window selling drugs until late at night.
did not feel secured. I will never go back there.
Quiet room with kitchen and frigerator Workout room was dirty. The physical exterior needed paint and the deck needed updating
Staff was friendly and accommodating, and the room was clean. Crib brought in for baby right away. Bathroom was well-kept. Hot tub and pool were busy, but generally in good shape. Room was old, where A/C had a little bit of musty smell. Shower fixture was older and the hotel in general looked dated. Some part of the hotel grounds and hotel itself were dirty/grimy. Could not be convinced this was a true 3.5 star hotel.
Pool, but there was cars pulling up and bringing people that were not staying there in. Safety, neighborhood, quality.
I was near a shopping mall USED shampoo, smoke detector need a battery and the staff didn't do nothing about it for two days that i was there. Only good that we got was its pet friendly
It was clean, well furnished, the staff was friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
The staff was amazing and so helpful. I was staying with my sister and her friend for a concert in Columbus. The staff was able to help us with things we had forgotten to bring. When we left we forgot a shirt and they called us and we were able to return to pick it up. Awesome. nothing
Clean room, good location in the downtown arena district. Noisy and overpriced
Location The bed was not comfortable...Not enough pillows, and the air in the room wouldn't get cool enough...The view from our window was a scenic view of the roof.
Location, price and staff. Hotel is sorley in need of updating. Pool and exercise facilities are totally lacking. Guest bathroom is out dated. The shelf in my closet was broken and hanging on my one screw.
people are trying to be helpful to us. houskeeping was bad. smoking was not allowed. crowdeness at reception. restaurants are few. no safety box in guest room.
Price is right, newer facilities. Friendly staff. Not the cleanest; piles of dirt around the bed and hair in the sheets
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was close to the football stadium and fairly priced. The bathroom was a bit cramped.
I loved the location. It was not very far from what places we wanted to visit. The hardwood floors were beautiful. Some areas by the bed were not very clean.
Manager.....Rigid check in time.......sometimes towels/soap/kleenex weren't replaced day to day.
The short drive to the hospital and its super close to restaurants, grocers, and a gas station. We always check for bedbugs when we stay anywhere,my boyfriend lifted up the mattress and found the cap to a needle, the lady at the front desk moved us down a room when we told her which was really nice just hope there wasn't a needle in the room under the bed or something.
The updated look of the rooms, modern, convenient location Room service never came to change the towels during my 3 day stay
Close to airport. Clean, quiet room. It was not brand new but wasn't old and worn out either. Friendly, helpful staff. Didn't like that I had to take a 4:20 am shuttle because the 4:40 and 5 shuttles were already full. Being that close to the airport, perhaps two shuttles running during peak travel times would be a good thing to consider. And, no fault of the hotel - food options within walking distance are non existent unless you consider McDonald's and Wendy's food or want a cold sandwich at the end of a long day of traveling.
The bed was comfortable and most of the room was very clean. Free cable, wifi, parking, and breakfast were all a plus. Bathroom could have been much cleaner. For some reason I was put in a handicap accessible room. They were full that night so I guess it was their only option, I just hope there wasn't someone there who actually needed it.
we needed a hotel close to the airport for our son and this was perfect. The whole stay was great.
Friendly staff and breakfast buffet good Beds were terrible- we like courtyard and would go across the road for the comfort of their beds. Also, tell customers construction is going on prior to arrival.
Tidy room for the most part. Friendly staff. I stayed in the room above the front door. The rooms aren't very sound proof so all night long and especially early in the morning, you can hear the doors slamming. More importantly, I returned one day to find my room hadn't latched after house keeping.
The hotel was super clean and the little amenities were much appreciated (lending library, cookies and coffee, etc.). Breakfast was very good for a continental breakfast. The staff was very friendly as well.
The bed was worn out and lumpy. The position of the toilet bowl in relation to the shower is terrible. It is impossible to sit straight and take care of business- for such a nice hotel someone should be in big "DO DO" over this.
Quality of service by stsff Rooms are small. Quality of food and food options are low
Called for more bath towels and never delivered to room. Called 10min prior to pickup car from valet and still had to wait 10min for car to be brought to front door.
Location, King Sized Bed. Tiny room, poor wait staff, cramped and outdated amenities.
Location was convenient and the staff were friendly. The room didn't have enough counter or work space. The bathroom door opened out so it was difficult to pass through the hall. Continental breakfast was not included. Parking was not secure.
Clean, comfortable room. Very friendly desk staff. Easy interstate access. Room near elevator, which "dings" loudly.
Could use an interior update in rooms; carpeting and paint. Otherwise very nice. Restaurant was nice with very good breakfast buffet.
The bed was extremely comfortable and there were many pillows. Very nice and responsive staff. Complimentary Yoga mat on request. The room design was cold and dark (no overhead light, and the lamps had fluorescent bulbs), the bathtub creaks when you stand on it to shower, and the carpet had little white hairs on it, but they did clean it well when I complained. The pool room is dank, outdated, and uninviting, the picture online makes it look much better than it is. We did not want to use it at all and that feature was part of why I chose the hotel.
Gentleman on reception was initially very helpful. There was a TV and a bed and bathroom I was initially put in a non smoking room, they had lost my reservation, the corridors were dirty and smelly, I did not always feel safe
The tv Terrible wifi, pool was closed, so was the fitness center, people were loud so we called front desk to tell them and they just hung up
Affordable, convenient location next to I-71 makes commute into Columbus quick. There were people arguing loudly with profane language in the parking lot outside of my window all night.
OSU Homecoming weekend and the usual place we stay was unavailable.
It was close to Popeyes chicken No refrigerator no microwave water just got warm felt like I was walking into a 70'single hotel with the green walls. The whole place needs updated
The low price of my stay at Days Inn was what I liked the most. There were certain hidden fees [ie. charges for a safe lock box that did not work anyway] that came up later.
I've never had an issue with Days Inn, and have always found them to be excellent overall, but this place was not close It is beyond rundown. I have to be very careful about spending, but I could never stay there again. It was dirty and stinky, and quite embarassing in the eyes of my sons. I made the best of it, but will soend more money if have to for a nicer, cleaner stay
Good price and free public parking is available but the hotel is dirty hotel is dirty and old.
Great staff--very friendly and accommodating. Very clean.
Kayak told me my "pre-check in" was all set. That my preference of a quiet room would be ready. Needless to say, we were on the 2nd floor (out of 5), right near elevators and across from some sort of party! Well at least after going down to front desk, we were finally moved to a quieter room on the 5th floor. I guess it's not really the hotels fault. Wouldn't stay here again though.
Everything was great..!!. Nice staff, clean room... Nice pool, nice work out room.. But breakfast buffet was $9.99 per person... And if you only want a juice and a bagel (quick bite) that's a lot to spend! I would suggest an alternative smaller, complimentary continental breakfast like other hotels offer.
The accomodations are excellent! We stayed here two weekends in a row due to a family emergency. Both weekend had large groups on kids staying there for track meet and baseball. The kids ran up and down the halls till almost midnight. Totally unacceptable.
Good location. Amenities were terrific for a stay of 5 days. Front staff and manager very accommodating...and went out of their way to help make my stay more comfortable.
Staff are really kind.
Location, staff, cleanliness
Our tv in our room was stuck on the Golf channel and couldn't be changed to any other channel.
the proximity to the convention center and the Hot Chocolate Race. A bonus was finding out about the CBUS route so that we didn't have to drive or walk to the events center. The staff were very helpful in recommending local restaurants. Things can use updated.
I liked that it was close to the locations we wanted to visit. We had to pay $5.00 for parking. We confronted the person at the desk about the fee. She said we had to pay it and we informed her that no one told us about the $5.00 fee at all. However we had to pay it. I won't be going back to this hotel.
The staff was excellent! Breakfast was great. Sorry, but the elevator painting was terrible. Also the footstool was worn, and the bathroom floor was clean but my shoes stuck to it.
Location, spacious rooms, nice set up didn't realize you had to pay for parking until we checked out. Elevator small and slow, used stairs when we could.
The location was perfect for those seeking a variety in regards to dining and shopping, and was close enough to the Nationwide Arena that one could walk there from the hotel. Honestly, I have absolutely no complaints about my stay.
Proximity to downtown yet better for parking and our reason for being in Columbus.
