Superb hotel. Designed with taste, very clean, well maintained. Located within the old city, easy for local tours to pick you up. Walking distance from other parts of the Old Town. Very good breakfast. I would definitely stay there again. Top marks for staff for being helpful and kind.Fantastic! The only improvement I can think of is to make one PC available in the lobby for the internet as not everyone carries a laptop (Wifi is available there)
Refinement, staff that was friendly, facilitries.closeness to where I wanted to be. Booking.com asked for all credit card detail. I dont liuke that it's a risk. To find out that we still had to pay at the hotel. Hence credit card details given by internet for no good reason, putting too much risk in the shoes of the customer. Fot hid reason we will try not to use booking.com next time
The spa is excellent and the location next to the river close to nice restaurants like GoodView is great. The mattress is a bit hard: especially if you used to a softer mattress it is quite hard.
In short, I can tell you almost everything! In some rooms at the left hand side of the pool there is some noise of the engines of the pool, really a pity for this. The right side of the pool is perfect!!
It was a fantastic place to get away from the big cities of thailand to relax in such a tranquil environment. room service menu was limited.
Friendly staff who tried to their best ability, clean modern rooms, decent location, excellent meet and greet at the airport, good breakfast , good value. No evening maid service, somewhat difficult communication in english language with many staff, pool area has no drinks of any kind allowed, restaurant is across a busy street.
This is a beautiful resort with a lushious garden and we could enter the pool from our room which was nice. If you're looking for a romantic spot, want to get some rest and massages, and do not want to do a lot of site seeing, this is a great hotel. Our room was a litte small for a "deluxe" room. The bathroom couldn't be closed because of shutters in the door and window to the room. Since I was travelling with a friend this was pretty inconvenient. It was low season and the poolbar was closed which was a pity. The resort is located far from the city centre next to a Carrefour. All the excitement is in Chiang Mai. Taxi fees are 200 bath one way, the price is non negotiable and you have to wait 15 minutes every time you need one. Late at night it's not very simple to come back to the hotel. Prices for spa treatments are close to European prices. Since I was travelling with a friend (and not my lover) this hotel wasn't the best choice for us.
The hotel room and surroundings were very beautiful. The pool is the most magnificent one we had ever seen. breakfast, diner, lunch, roomservice were all great. The only thing we disliked about the hotel was that it was quite far from the centre of Chiang Mai, and the fact that it was so quit that it seemed that we were the obly guests in the hotel. That meant that the pool bar was not open during our stay. The hotel should make more advertisement so they have more guest for a somewhat more comfortable stay.
The hotel construction is pleasing Hotel is not a 4 star, 3 at best. Internet, Sat TV were both spotty, mattress was uncomfortable, pillows too large. Free breakfast selection was disappointingly limited, It would have been nice to have some separation from children's area instead it was noisy at times. also construction was annoying and unexpected given the price.
Excellent landscaping makes hdtel feel rooted in the environment, even if only 18 months old. Old style elegance and comfort. You feel almost that you live in a community, which I have never found at any of the otherwise wonderful Asian hotels. Really good concept.
