Excellent breakfast and staff who works in the breakfast was amazing

I chose Iceland to celebrate my birthday, I went with my wife and the hotel started so nice the welcome, but by the end was really disappointing. Really difficult to book the tours as the girl in the reception was saying everything was sold out. We contacted directly the tour companies and booked online. So first DO NOT BELIEVE, if they says is sold out, they have a limited quote and they sold out what they have available, BUT the receptionist should says.... try straight with the company website, but she didn’t and almost turned out trip a unhappy moment. SECOND, reception wasn’t UPDATED about times for the attractions on the city center. We asked about the opening time from the Cathedral and they say is open until 9:00pm. WRONG information as from October to April the closing time as 5:00pm. For the 3 night in the hotel I TRIED to order ROOM SERVICE. on the menu we had pizza as an option. First night NO PIZZA AVAILABLE, out of stock and they offered free sandwiches. Second night same history..... and for my surprise and really disappointment, third day they running out for pizzas. So funny, once I says I worked 10 years on the same industry, Accor Hotels, I placed an informal complain about this situation, they contacted us in the room and send to us 2 pizzas... but all 3 days they says was out of stock, how 1:30am they managed to get the pizza done? Those 3 parts really disappointed me and I really suggest all to look carefully as everyday, you will arrive late night from the tours, so if they cannot manage to have a room service working properly, that means, all costumers do not have food available late night

Tienen todo lo básico. El hotel puede ser bueno para grupos grandes/autobuses con un montón de gente que necesita un lugar lejos del centro de la ciudad para descansar por una noche.

Personal cortésmente grosero: A la 1:45 de la tarde y antes dicen "el check-in es a las 2 de la tarde". La industria de servicios habla por no hablar. 1:58 PM, "Tu habitación no está lista". 2:02 PM, "No sabemos si está listo" (problemas de comunicación con el servicio de limpieza?) a veces parecían molestos al responder preguntas que la gente tenía sobre cómo ir a algún lugar de la ciudad o qué excursiones de un día están disponibles. "Aquí hay un folleto." es su respuesta típica. Nunca te dicen los detalles reales de dónde ir o qué esperar. Las habitaciones eran muy básicas. Almohadas pequeñas en la cama. Dos edredones de algodón en cama doble, cada uno era del tamaño de una toalla grande. El desayuno y la cena son muy caros.
