City Hotel Ljubljana

The hotel was great, it is positioned in easy walking distance to the river and centre - the area it is in is redeveloping with some beautiful traditional streets with bars and stores away from the tourist area. Punching above its' weight is a very good term to use. The rooms, although plain have everything you need, comfortable beds and quiet. (Also big!) Would recommend it anytime. The staff were very good.

It would be nice if they made the bar area a bit more inviting and less like a waiting room... a minor complaint.

The breakfast buffet was huge and amazing! So many choices! The location of the City Hotel is excellent and very convenient to everything we wanted to see. Just a 5-minute walk to the Triple Bridge! The staff was courteous and helpful, and gave us a map and restaurant recommendations. This is always helpful so we don't have to search for a Tourist Information Office.

Our room did not have a refrigerator. We found it inconvenient to go to the bar to ask for ice, so instead we bought cold bottled water. That means that by the next morning what we bought was at room temperature, not cold, which is what I prefer. A refrigerator would be very helpful.

Great location and great breakfast. Room was a good size and very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
